"Legend Has It"

40x40in oil on gallery depth canvas.
The Navajo legend of Cabezon Peak (top of painting) says it is the severed head of a giant, Ye'i-tsoh, slain by the Twin War Gods, Nayenezgani and To'badzistsini.
This fascinates me even though I see it every day.
